I am so amazed by your writing, Chaos. You are a gift from God, a picture of part of His Heart.

God is the ultimate creative and inspiration. Why so many shades of green in nature? Why 31,000 species of fish (that we know of)? Because God loves beauty and color and vibrance. I think Jesus appreciated a good meal served with good wine. And smells? Hot bread right from the oven. Freshly mown grass. Salty sea air or spring lilacs.

We appreciate art as a nod to a tiny glimpse of God’s gifts to us as creative beings. First Corinthians 13? That’s God-love.

Yes! Thank you for understanding!!! I hope I was clear. I know I can get a little abstract and obtuse at times.

It’s been 18 years since I was in Italy (how is that possible???). You are correct, no bad coffee, no bad meals. Was in Roma and Firenze and loved every minute. One of the best moments was in a restaurant in Rome, where owner and chef came and sat with us and played guitar. He was also literally a rocket scientist at the university and the restaurant was his way of decompressing.

There is a restaurant, hang on...I can't find it. It's across the Tiber--near city center. The food and ambiance was incredible. And, the owner always gave me the best table because my Italian was so bad. I think he respected my effort.

" If this makes one person feel less alone, I will have done my job." A noble aspiration.
